Hello, I’m Dr. Shahzad Ahmad, and I am currently a dentist at South Normanton Dental Practice.

A Bit About My Journey

I am originally from the northern side of Pakistan, specifically from the Patans region. My dental journey began with graduating in 2005 and completing my clinical training by 2007. I started my own general dentistry practice that same year, with invaluable support from neighbours and mentors. Alongside this, I pursued further training with a one-year clinical attachment at Khyber College of Dentistry and completed an MSc in Public Health.

My career took me through various roles, including working with UNICEF on immunisation and prenatal/postnatal care programs and later teaching as the head of the Community Dentistry department at Multan Medical and Dental College. Despite these achievements, political and security challenges in Pakistan led me to seek new opportunities abroad.

After relocating and marrying, I initially aimed for an MSc in Paediatric Dentistry from UCL in the UK but shifted focus to the Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) due to recognition issues. The COVID-19 pandemic caused delays, but I successfully completed both parts of the ORE. My subsequent work across various dental practices in London gave me a broad perspective before joining Rodericks Dental Partners.
