Dr Mahmood graduated from the prestigious University of Debrecen in 2012 with a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD).

Dr Mahmood prides himself on giving meticulous attention to patient care and providing high-quality dentistry. This ranges from routine examinations and fillings to more technique-sensitive procedures such as aesthetic composite restorations/veneers to minor oral surgery. He has travelled extensively to attend courses led by leading Dentists in the country to hone his skills. In 2017 he was a finalist for "Young Dentist Of The Year” for the UK’s largest dental corporate after receiving outstanding patient feedback (99%+, 5* rating of 200+ patients) and recommendations from senior colleagues. Dr Mahmood also is very popular with treating patients who are nervous or have a phobia of the Dentist. He completed his dental thesis on the topic of Dental Fear and lectured on this extensively.

During his Senior House Officer post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he gained experience in the treatment of patients in a hospital setting, from treating patients under General Anaesthetic, inhalation sedation, IV sedation, and local anaesthetic. This post included “on-call” commitments which gave him substantial experience working alongside multiple neighbouring hospitals A&E departments in managing a large variety of emergencies from facial lacerations/ facial swellings to fractured jaws and dog bites. Dr Mahmood exited with a glowing recommendation for his ability to deliver excellent patient care in highly stressful situations. During this time he was also a writer for the British Dental Journal documenting his experiences and reflections to dental students.

Dr Mahmood is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons after successfully passing the MJDF examination.
