Meet our Team at Resolution Specialist Treatment Centre

Dr Anju Patole, will be offering private dental care at Resolution on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Anju is well known to us, having worked at another Rodericks practice for many years. She is a highly thought of popular and professional dentist receiving regular great feedback from her previous patient base.

We have taken steps to ensure the general dental care we offer is as cost-effective as possible and importantly, with appropriate emphasis on prevention as well as cure. Therefore, whilst there is the option to see Anju on a fee per item basis, we are pleased to also offer care on a monthly payment plan basis.

I started my dental life at only 16 with not much of an idea about what I wanted to do in life. Who knew I would find it in dentistry. Over the last 25 years I have worked as a dental nurse in all aspects of dentistry. I Joined the Royal Navy and completed my hygienist training in 2008 which has been my biggest achievement so far. I pride myself in caring for the individual not just your teeth, I offer regular hygienist care, second opinions and cosmetic polishing. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Dr Mark Brickley qualified as a general dentist in 1988 from Bristol University. Mark worked in general practice until 1991 when he undertook further studies in orthodontics at Cardiff university. During this time Dr Brickley gained his doctorate in dental decision making, an MScD in orthodontics and a MOrth (RCS Ed) in orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons.

He was accepted onto the internationally recognised specialist list in Orthodontics in 2000. Mark is active in the Somerset Orthodontic study group and the British Orthodontic Society having held various posts over the years. Mark has a special interest in Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD) and cervicogenic headaches, partnering with a multidisciplinary team to provide a unique integrated service for these problems. He lectures widely and has published over 50 scientific articles. His outside interests include photography, electronics and nature, especially astronomy.

Larissa joined the team at Resolution in 2015 as one of our lead orthodontists.

She spent 6 years at dental school in Bucharest, Romania, graduating in 2006 followed by a 3 year orthodontic postgraduate program graduating in 2009. She worked in private practice first as a general dentist 2006-2008 and then as specialist orthodontist from 2009 onwards in private practice in Bucharest until 2011 then in a specialist practice in Chelmsford Essex till 2015. Since graduation Larissa has attended numerous courses and has a special interest in aesthetic appliances (ceramic, Invisalign, lingual) and adjunctive orthodontics which are integrated with other specialities like restorative work and implants to treat patients that require complex dental work.

Kirsty worked as a general dental nurse for two years prior to joining the team at Resolution Specialist Treatment Centre in 2001. During her time with the practice she was successful in gaining post graduate qualifications in Dental Radiography and Orthodontic Nursing. With ambition to further her clinical career, Kirsty secured a place on the South Wales Orthodontic Therapy course which she qualified from in 2009. Kirsty is passionate about orthodontics and committed to providing the very highest levels of orthodontic treatment to all of her patients.

My name is Lou and I have been working within dentistry for 25 years. With my general dental experience and now my specialist role as an Orthodontic Therapist I have gained my medical qualification as a Facial Aesthetic Practitioner.

This is something I love and wish I had been able to practice a long time before. But here I am and now I am living the dream of performing Facial Aesthetics. I find this very rewarding and offer many treatments that “will enhance the natural you”.

I am very honest about my treatments and my whole ethos is a natural result. I will always offer a free consultation as an initial appointment to understand what treatments you want and what your desired outcome is. I will advised you as best as I can with my knowledge and together we will go through the transformation.

Dr Lazaridis graduated in 1998 with excellence in the University of Sofia. Immediately after graduation worked in a specialist prosthodontist practice where he developed a special interest in implant dentistry and prosthodontics.

After gaining experience in hospital and general practice environments, in 2006 he completed a postgraduate surgical dentistry course North West Deanery at University Dental Hospital Manchester.

In 2008 he was awarded the MSc in Implant Dentistry from Warwick University. Having had an interest in academic work, immediately after graduation he became an Associate Fellow for the Institute of Clinical Education at Warwick Medical School as an assessor and tutor in the MSc Implant Dentistry course until 2013.

Over the last few years, George has concentrated on clinical implant dentistry and he continues to be involved in lecturing both nationally and internationally. George has a particular interest in the treatment of comprehensive implant and restorative cases and the management of periimplantitis.

Dr Lazaridis is an active member and registered mentor with the Association of Dental Implantology (UK) and a member of:

• MFDS RCs Engl – Member of faculty of dental surgery Royal College of Surgeons England

• Associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry UK

He spends most of his free time with his two daughters and enjoys reading ancient philosophy.

My name is Ana Oliveira Bowness. Although originally from Brazil, I now live in Somerset with my husband Michael. I work as a restorative and cosmetic dentist at Rodericks Specialist Centre in Yeovil and also as a general dentist at Chard House Dental Practice.

Initially employed at Morriston Hospital Swansea for 3 years in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, this role required me to work in a dynamic area of dentistry where I was able to hone many of my skill sets. Keen to pursue my special interest in Oral Surgery, I moved to Somerset to work with Rodericks Dental. Since then, I have achieved a Restorative diploma with the British Association of Restorative Dentistry, UK.

My goal is the provision of quality of life to my patients and provide them with the ability to smile with confidence, I enjoy having a balance between my personal and professional life and I particularly enjoy surfing and all things outdoors, whilst also getting involved with my local church.
