Meet our Team at St Georges Dental Practice

Ashraf has over 20 years experience in general dentistry since qualifying from King’s College London.  He is committed to delivering the best possible dental care to his patients in a calm and relaxed manner. Throughout his career, he has continued to develop his skills and has successfully completed courses in Invisalign, Smile Makeovers, Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Minor Oral Surgery.  He is currently completing his Post Graduate Certificate in Dental Implants. Away from dentistry, Ashraf is a father of three and enjoys playing cricket and travelling.

David is our Implant surgeon. In 2009, David completed a one-year postgraduate implant training under the mentorship of world-renowned implant surgeon Prof. Tatum Hillt. David made multiple trips to the United States in subsequent years, to further enhance his expertise in advanced implant and bone grafting procedures.

For a six year period he practiced as a part-time visiting implant surgeon at a prestigious clinic in Harley Street, London.

5 years he has dedicated his practice to implant and cosmetic dentistry. Having successfully completed more than 2000 implants and graft procedures.

Originally from Sunderland, Isaac graduated from Newcastle in 2021. Isaac is a general dentist with a particular interest in Endodontics, in which he is currently completing his Masters Degree. Friendly and caring, Isaac will take the time required to make sure you feel comfortable and well-informed regarding any treatment you may need. When not at work, you will find Isaac on the golf course!

Jamie is a general dentist, originally from Derry in Northern Ireland, moved to Newcastle for University and graduated in 2021 with a distinction in clinical dentistry. Jamie enjoys all aspects of dentistry, particularly root canal treatment and oral surgery. Jamie is an accredited Invisalign Go provider and enjoys helping people feel better about their smiles and teeth. 

When not in work Jamie enjoys CrossFit, running and yoga! 

Jen, originally from Cardiff, graduated from Manchester University in 2017. Jen then completed three years of hospital based training in different dental specialities, with a large focus on Oral & Maxillofacial surgery. Jennifer now splits her time between working in practice and in Manchester Hospital, where she works closely with patients who have been diagnosed with cancer. She enjoys teaching and has completed a PGCert in a Medical Education. She has developed a passion for treating vulnerable, medically compromised and anxious patients, with a well known calming and gentle manner with her patients.Jenny loves running when she’s not working and enjoying travelling. 

Lorraine started her journey here at St Georges in 1996 as a Trainee Dental Nurse,  after completing further training, she qualified as a dental therapist in 2007. Lorraine enjoys treating children and anxious patients and always goes the extra mile to ensure her patients are relaxed and eased. Lorraine has extensive training in periodontal disease and works closely with her patients to receive the best outcomes of her treatments. If you can’t find Lorraine in surgery 7, you will find her walking, reading or travelling!!

Matthew grew up in Warrington and went on to dental school in Newcastle, completing his degree in 2021. After moving back to the North West Matt worked in Stockport before coming to join St Georges, as an associate Dentist. Matt enjoys seeing new patients and taking time to get to know them better - particularly nervous or anxious patients and easing them. Matt is soon to be offering sedation to further help these patients if they wish, he also carries out cosmetic treatments such as whitening, Invisalign and composite bonding. Outside of dentistry, Matt is a keen runner and a below-average golfer.

Sophie is a general dentist, originally from Cambridge and graduated from Newcastle University. Sophie has a caring and empathetic demeanour and is dedicated to providing exceptional NHS services, with a focus on building strong patient relationships and ensuring comfort throughout treatment. Sophie provides some cosmetic treatments, such as whitening and Invisalign Go, helping patients to feel happier with their smiles. Outside of dentistry, Sophie enjoys expressing her creativity through art, demonstrating her passion for aesthetics and attention to detail in both her professional and personal pursuits.

As a highly committed clinician, my primary focus is providing exceptional care and helping my patients achieve the confident, healthy smiles they deserve. I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2016, and since then, I have continuously pursued excellence in clinical practice. I strongly believe in lifelong learning, which is why I have dedicated myself to advancing my skills and knowledge through various prestigious qualifications and awards. One of the highlights of my career has been earning Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons, a recognition that underscores my expertise in the field and my commitment to the highest standards of care in orthodontics.

I take a personalised approach to every patient, understanding that each individual has unique needs and goals when it comes to their smile. Using cutting-edge technology and evidence-based treatments, I design bespoke treatment plans that cater to each patient's specific requirements. Whether it’s using traditional fixed braces, innovative Invisalign clear aligners, or other advanced orthodontic solutions, I ensure that every aspect of the treatment is tailored to provide the best results with comfort, efficiency, and minimal disruption to my patients' lives. I place a strong emphasis on communication, ensuring that my patients are well-informed, comfortable, and confident at each stage of their treatment journey.

When I’m not in the clinic, my time is very much focused on family. I love spending quality moments with my loved ones, and family life keeps me grounded, happy, and motivated. Outside of spending time with my family, I enjoy engaging in various activities that keep me active and balanced, all of which help me maintain the energy and focus needed to provide the best care for my patients.

Dr. Safaa is a highly skilled dentist who graduated from the esteemed Medical University of Plovdiv, where she earned a master’s degree in Dental Medicine. Known for her exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence, Safaa consistently strives for perfection in every aspect of her practice. Her primary goal is to ensure that each patient receives the best possible care and leaves with a smile they can feel proud of.

With a keen interest in both restorative dentistry and orthodontics, Safaa is dedicated to providing comprehensive dental treatments that not only enhance the function of her patients' teeth but also their appearance and overall confidence. Her gentle, patient-centred approach ensures that every individual feels comfortable and well cared for during their visit.

Safaa’s passion for travel has taken her to diverse corners of the globe, allowing her to experience a variety of cultures and perspectives. Fluent in multiple languages, she is able to connect with patients from all backgrounds, making them feel at ease no matter where they are from. This cultural curiosity also allows her to stay open-minded and adaptable in her professional practice.

When she’s not treating patients, Safaa enjoys keeping active and prioritising her physical health. She can often be found at the gym, maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. A football enthusiast, Safaa also loves keeping up with current affairs in the sport—particularly when it comes to Manchester United, a team she passionately supports. And as a true wanderlust at heart, she is always planning her next travel adventure, eager to explore new destinations and immerse herself in fresh experiences.

Abbey began her journey in dentistry in 2011, starting out as a dental nurse. From the outset, she showed a keen interest in orthodontics, which led her to pursue additional qualifications to specialise in this field. Over the years, she has completed further training in Dental Radiography, IOTN (Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need), PAR (Peer Assessment Rating), and Orthodontic Dental Nursing—demonstrating her dedication to continuous professional development.

In 2021, Abbey achieved a significant milestone in her career by earning her Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, equipping her with the advanced skills and clinical expertise needed to support patients throughout their orthodontic treatment.

Abbey became part of the team at St George’s Dental Practice in 2025, where she now plays a vital role as our Orthodontic Therapist. Patients will get to know Abbey well, as she is the friendly and reassuring face they’ll see regularly during their orthodontic appointments. She is passionate about creating a comfortable experience for every patient and is committed to helping people feel confident in their smiles throughout their treatment journey.

Her approachable nature and attention to detail make her a valued member of the orthodontic team, and she takes great pride in seeing the transformation that orthodontic treatment brings to her patients' confidence and overall oral health.

Outside of the clinic, Abbey leads an active lifestyle—she enjoys going to the gym to unwind and stay healthy. She’s also currently immersed in the exciting world of wedding planning, preparing for her big day with plenty of enthusiasm and creativity!

Evie is a general dentist originally from near Macclesfield. She graduated from Newcastle University in 2023 and has since returned to the North West to join the team at St George’s. With a strong foundation in general dentistry, Evie is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a wide range of treatments.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and takes particular satisfaction in helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their oral health. Evie is known for her gentle, approachable manner and her ability to put patients at ease, especially those who may be anxious about visiting the dentist.

Looking ahead, Evie is keen to continue developing her clinical skills and has a special interest in oral surgery. She hopes to pursue further training in this area in the near future, with the goal of offering more advanced surgical care to her patients as her career progresses.

Outside of the dental surgery, Evie leads an active lifestyle and enjoys playing tennis and practising Pilates. She has a growing interest in health and wellbeing and is currently exploring the idea of training to become a qualified Pilates instructor—something that reflects her dedication to both physical wellness and continued personal growth.

Ibrahim joined our practice in 2024, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to patient care. He began his dental journey in Pakistan, where he earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2019. Eager to expand his professional expertise, he went on to achieve his Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry (MFD) with the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

In 2022, Ibrahim made the move from Pakistan to the UK, settling with his family in the beautiful Lake District. He has embraced the natural beauty of the region and enjoys spending quality time outdoors walking through the fells and countryside with his wife and young daughter.

Professionally, Ibrahim has developed a particular interest in periodontal care. He is passionate about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum disease and is committed to helping his patients understand and manage their oral health. Ibrahim takes pride in his patient-centred approach, working closely with individuals to create tailored treatment plans and taking the time to ensure they feel informed and comfortable at every step.

Outside of dentistry, Ibrahim is an avid football enthusiast. A dedicated Manchester United fan, he’s always happy to talk match results and share his thoughts on the latest fixtures—so don’t hesitate to ask him about the score when you visit!

Anthony graduated from The University of Manchester, where he built a strong foundation in all areas of general dentistry. Since qualifying, he has developed a particular passion for restorative dentistry and is committed to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through comprehensive, high-quality care.

Anthony is especially interested in smile makeovers and complex restorative transformations, with ambitions to specialise further in this field as his career progresses. He finds great satisfaction in being able to not only restore the function of teeth but also enhance the overall appearance of a smile—improving both oral health and patient confidence. Whether it’s rebuilding worn teeth, replacing missing ones, or crafting subtle cosmetic improvements, Anthony approaches each case with precision, care, and a genuine desire to make a difference in his patients’ lives.

He is known for his approachable and reassuring manner, taking time to understand each patient’s concerns and goals. Anthony believes in open, honest communication and always ensures his patients feel informed and comfortable throughout their treatment journey.

Outside the clinic, Anthony is a lifelong, die-hard Manchester United fan. He rarely misses a match and can often be found cheering on his team at Old Trafford. When not watching football, he enjoys exploring the great outdoors and is a keen hiker. Come rain or shine, he finds getting out into the countryside a refreshing way to stay active and clear his mind.
