A Day In The Life: Dhaval Shah - Dentist

I’m so passionate about my job that even though some weeks can be a whirlwind of busyness, it doesn’t feel like work. And I think that’s testament to the positive environment we work in, and our focus on the patients.

Day in the life

I get to work each day about 8am, ready to start and see my first patient at 8:30am. Every day and every week is so different. Some weeks are hugely busy, and I barely know where the time has gone! But we always take the time for each patient and their specific needs. I love the variety that my job brings, and the range of treatments we’re able to offer. My day tends to focus a lot on surgical dentistry and implants, which I absolutely love doing. I never feel like I’m at work because I’m doing something that I’m so passionate about, so I’m never bored.

I eat lunch with my team, I have such great colleagues and we all get on well. The afternoon always passes quickly with more appointments. Once my last appointment is finished, I’ll type up any notes and head straight from work to the gym for a good workout session. Then at home I unwind for the evening, ready to do it all again tomorrow.
